How long does it take to replace my double glazing?
We measure up, then return about a week later to fit the glass. If the glass is leaded, or barred, it can take a little longer.
Will you remove and dispose of my old unit, and the broken glass?
Yes, we will
How do you dispose of the old double glazed units?
We recycle. The entire unit is taken apart, and everything is recycled
What areas do you cover?
We cover the entire Midlands area.

So, you replace the glass, but not the frame?
Exactly. We simply replace the glass and keep the frame and fittings as they are. This is the case for both double glazed windows and double glazed doors. This way, the repair is completed at a fraction of the price of a full window replacement
Do you fit the new double glazing from the inside, or the outside?
It depends on the frame. Some are fitted from the inside & some from the outside. We’ll let you know, when we measure up
Do you accept card payments?
Yes, we accept all major debit and credit cards
Do you change the rubber seals, when the glass is changed?
Usually, yes. It really depends on how the glass was first fitted. Some are fitted with double sided security tape, while others are fitted with rubber wedge gaskets. Both of these are replaced.
However, the rubber seal on the external beading is part of the frame, and will not be replaced
Can’t you just remove the fog from my double glazing?
Well, we know that our name is Windowfixx, but a foggy double glazed window is not really fixable. There are some companies who claim to be able to repair foggy windows by drilling small holes, and removing the moisture from between the window panes. This rarely solves the problem for long, and it’s not something we would recommend
